Environmental Assessment reports can refer to a Phase 1 or 2 Environmental Site Assessment, or can also refer to NEPA Environmental Assessments. Phase 1 and 2 Environmental Assessments are reports dealing with such issues as: hazardous chemical contamination of soil or groundwater, as well as, other environmental liabilities. NEPA, which stands for National Environmental Policy Act, is a preliminary report that reviews endangered species, historical sites, and other resources that could be potentially impacted from a proposed construction or development project.
